Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 17, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TrustHelm platform at trusthelm.ai, operated by TrustHelm (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using TrustHelm, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use TrustHelm.
What TrustHelm is (and what it is not)
TrustHelm is a trust management platform that helps you organize, understand, and maintain your trust after it has been signed. The platform provides AI-powered document analysis, duty tracking, asset management, financial record keeping, optional connection of your financial accounts to verify trust funding, reminders, and educational guidance.
TrustHelm is not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. The information provided through TrustHelm, including the TrustHelm Agent, duty tracking, statute references, and resource center articles, is educational and organizational in nature. It is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified attorney.
TrustHelm is not a financial advisor. The financial tracking features help you organize and document trust-related transactions. They do not constitute financial advice, tax advice, or investment guidance.
TrustHelm does not create, amend, or execute trust documents. We help you manage and understand trusts that have already been created by your attorney.
Always consult a qualified attorney for decisions that affect your trust, and a qualified financial advisor or CPA for tax and investment decisions.
Your account
Creating an account
You must be at least 18 years old to create a TrustHelm account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login link or access with anyone. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@trusthelm.ai.
Account accuracy
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.
One account per person
Each TrustHelm account is for a single individual. You may manage multiple trusts within one account if you are a party to multiple trusts.
Plans and pricing
Free plan
TrustHelm offers a free plan that includes core trust organization features as described on our pricing page. The free plan is available indefinitely at no cost.
Paid plans
TrustHelm offers paid plans for individuals and for estate planning professionals. Current plan names, features, billing cadence, and prices are listed on our pricing page at trusthelm.ai/pricing. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as shown at checkout.
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your paid TrustHelm subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase by emailing support@trusthelm.ai. This guarantee applies to your first subscription payment only, not to renewals.
Automatic renewal
Your paid subscription renews automatically each year. We will send you a reminder email before your renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. If you cancel, you retain paid subscription access until the end of your current billing period.
Price changes
We may change our pricing in the future. If we increase subscription pricing, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before your next renewal date. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
Refunds
Beyond the 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers, refunds are issued at our discretion. Contact support@trusthelm.ai with refund requests.
Your content and data
Ownership
You own your data. All trust documents, financial records, notes, and other content you upload or create in TrustHelm belong to you. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.
License to us
By uploading content to TrustHelm, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the TrustHelm service to you. This includes sending your documents to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis when you request an AI scan. This license exists only for as long as your content remains on our platform and terminates when you delete your content or your account.
Data export
You can export your data from TrustHelm at any time. Export features are available as described on our pricing page.
Data deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings. Account deletion is subject to a 30-day cooling-off period to protect against accidental deletion, after which all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted. Deleting your account also disconnects and removes any connected financial accounts. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data retention and deletion.
AI features
AI document scanning
TrustHelm's AI analyzes your uploaded documents to extract information including parties, assets, duties, and key provisions. The AI also maps extracted duties to your state's trust statutes.
AI accuracy. While our AI is designed to be accurate, it may occasionally miss information, misinterpret provisions, or extract data incorrectly. You are responsible for reviewing AI-extracted information and correcting any errors. Do not rely solely on AI-extracted data for legal or financial decisions.
Statute references. TrustHelm maps trustee duties to state trust statutes across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. These references are for educational and organizational purposes only. Trust law is complex and changes over time. Statute references in TrustHelm may not reflect the most recent legislative changes. Always verify legal requirements with a qualified attorney.
TrustHelm Agent
The TrustHelm Agent is an interactive feature that answers questions about your trust using your uploaded documents and trust data as context. The TrustHelm Agent provides educational information and organizational guidance only. It does not provide legal advice, and its responses should not be treated as legal advice.
AI financial document import
When you import financial documents, the AI extracts transaction data for your financial records. Review all extracted entries for accuracy before relying on them for accounting, tax preparation, or compliance purposes.
Connecting your financial accounts
TrustHelm Premium lets you securely connect your financial accounts to help verify that your trust is funded and to keep your financial records current. This connection is provided through Plaid Inc., a third-party financial data service.
When you connect an account, Plaid accesses your account information on a read-only basis. TrustHelm cannot move money, transfer funds, or initiate any transaction on a connected account.
Connecting an account is optional and requires your consent at the time you connect, including acknowledgment of Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at plaid.com/legal. You can disconnect a linked account at any time from your account settings. Disconnecting revokes TrustHelm's access to that account and removes the connection from Plaid.
For details on what account data we receive, how it is stored, and how it is deleted, see our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use TrustHelm for any illegal purpose
- Upload content that you do not have the right to upload
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures, including row-level security, authentication, or rate limiting
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access TrustHelm (except through our authorized API, if applicable)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the TrustHelm platform
- Use TrustHelm to store content unrelated to trust and estate management
- Resell or redistribute access to TrustHelm without our written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of TrustHelm or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Professional partner program
For professionals
Estate planning professionals, including attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and insurance agents, can join TrustHelm's partner program. The program has a free Starter tier and paid tiers, with features and prices as described on our pricing page at trusthelm.ai/pricing. A professional receives a partner dashboard and, where applicable, a referral link.
Connections and access
A professional becomes connected to a trust either when you invite them or when you sign up through their referral link. You control who is connected to your trust and what they can access. When a professional is connected to your trust, they have view (read-only) access by default. This lets them see the trust's documents, assets, financial information, and duties, but not change them. An admin can grant a professional edit access at the time of invitation or later. You can broaden or narrow a professional's access, or remove them, at any time from your sharing settings.
Professional responsibilities
Partner professionals are responsible for their own compliance with the rules of professional conduct that apply to them, including confidentiality obligations. TrustHelm does not create a professional-client relationship between partner professionals and TrustHelm users.

Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post a notice on the TrustHelm dashboard at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Class action waiver. You agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
The arbitration shall take place in Birmingham, Alabama, or at your option, by telephone or video conference.
Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TrustHelm.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
